RARE SIGHTINGS! - UPDATED 4/6, 4/29 & 8/8/2018

(For the cause of near dear childhood & adolescent friends, Pam Worrell, who was never lacking in the special qualities that made a rare "pearl". (It is also dedicated in part to Evelyn McClean who also took time in 1985 to visit with this childhood neighbor, friend & Youth Group competition partner, while I resided in Branford, CT - 3/31/2019).


This Bloom is not easily described, and may possibly be overlooked,
because its qualities even though notable will take repeated focusing,
as if gazing on intensely on a serene babbling brook,
to see it better with a daring look.
A "planting" like this can be compared to a quiet rippling tide,
that reflects its sincere appeal even if planted by a thorny side.
Yet though remaining consistent,
in spite of nature's fliers it plays "host" too,
because its a reliable source of what's desired,
by the weary seeking rest as if they were tired.
As it dances in the breeze & becomes ruffled,
its petals quickly regain their posture,
to remain in the proper roster.
So too did my dear adolescent friend Pam compare to one,
who may be initially passed by, but not too much,
then through consistency, radiated those desirable
endearing characteristics found only in a unique
individual with a special touch!
who could charm only in a different way,
to show one who could "win" the day,
in subjects that were held with passion,
Like a graceful swan floating as if on a caption,
who knew how to display a remarkable, considerate, nature,
and it wasn't too much fluster as if she was primarily from the theatre.
She was a girl who was capable of intensely purposeful action,
Who took the time to travel over 3000 miles in 1978 to see
her friend who had settled into his student/studies adoption. Evelyn who carefully & skillfully gained with distinction,
and showed that the causes adopted had a worthy champion.
